Masculine Happy Birthday
I was inspired by another card similar to this, but for the life of me I can't seem to back track and find who it was that I CASed it from. So my apologies to the original designer. This card is quite simple but still classic in its look. The color scheme is Basic Black, Basic Grey, Natural White, Neutrals DSP and two retired items the Basic Black taffeta ribbon and the Well Worn DSP. I used the 1-3/8" punch for the 3 squares. The stamp set was Perfectly Penned stamped in Black Stazon ink. This card is so versatile that really any color combination with matching DSP would be terrific. Enjoy!

For You Card
This simple but pretty card is my design after being inspired by a technique swap I participated in at Convention. The lower layer uses a technique called "Faux Mother of Pearl." The top layer uses the Faith in Nature set with the flowers hand colored with Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi markers. The verse comes from the A Word for You set colored in Rich Razzleberry. The base paper color is So Saffron, along with Glossy White (technique layer) and Whisper White. The final accent is the 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon in Summer Starfruit.
How to do the Faux Mother of Pearl technique is quite simple. All you need is Glossy cardstock, a small wad of scrunched up plastic wrap (saran, glad, etc) and Frost White Shimmer Paint. Put a little of the Shimmer Paint on the plastic wrap and daub all around the glossy cardstock. Leave spaces of the glossy showing. Let dry thoroughly (30 mins. at least). Then using a light colored ink, sponge the glossy cardstock and voila the Faux Mother of Pearl technique will appear! Have fun with this!
Thanks for visitng my blog.

Postage Due Card
My September Stamp Camps are coming around, so time to post more card designs! This card was CASed and adapted from LeeAnn Greff. The envelope design I don't have the name to credit, I'm sorry.
How to build this card:
Cardstock: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Postage Due, and Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel stamp (run at a diagonal)
Inks: Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise along with sponge daubers
Technique - Emboss Resist using White Embossing Powder and Heat Gun
Punches: Postage Stamp Punch and 1-3/8" square punch
Embellishments: Tempting Turquoise flower button, Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine, Dotted Scallop Ribbon
For Envelope: Old Olive Polka Dot Parade DSP, Scallop Edge Border Punch on Tempting Turquoise
To me this card has a very summery feel, don't you think? Thanks for stopping by!
