Rose Wonder Birthday Card

This card is a direct CASE from Elaine's Creations, and the only thing I did different was change the ribbon to give the card more "pop." The ribbon I used is now retired from the 2016 Holiday catalog - a satin 3/8" Cherry Cobber ribbon. Plus I added some retired Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap.

The rose image has a fun and easy technique - just use the aqua painter and more crumb cake ink in the lid of the ink pad to lightly enlarge the stamped image lines. Just be sure to let the paper dry before stamping the sentiment on the front. For a little extra bling, I went over the dried lines with the Wink of Stella pen.

Rose Wonder Two-fer!

These two cards were inspired by www.jangirl.com but I made them my own.

I love how you can get 2 cards with hardly any effort. The rose thinlit you cut out on the Big Shor becomes the stencil for the top card to be dauber sponged as you hold it in place. Then when that is finished you will be able to glue it to the second card front, but there is one thing you need to do first.

If you look very closely you will see black ink splattered on both card fronts. The top card is splattered after it is sponged, the bottom card is splattered only on the Whisper White before the rose is glued down. I used the Tim Holtz Distress Splatter Brush that I purchased at Hobby Lobby along with the Basic Black Ink Refill and squirted a few drops in the ink pad lid. I found a stiff piece of plastic that I could run the brush against to make the splatters on both card fronts with a protective layer of paper under the card fronts to protect my counters.

The sentiments used are part of the Rose Wonder stamp set. It has several to choose from. Lastly I used some retired Designer Series Paper to add some pizazz to the envelop flap.

Watercolor Wings Card

This card was designed by Julie De Guia at www.thewaywestamp.com and I just loved everything about it! The only thing I changed was the sentiment inside the banner. It came from the Watercolor Wings stamp set, of which the butterflies came from as well. It is a time consuming card, but so, so lovely. Thanks Julie for posting, so I could CASE it!
