Celebrate Sunflowers Thank You Card

Coloring with the Stampin' Blends is so fun and easy to do!  Be sure to check out my last post about the tricks to coloring with them. This card is my original design and it is easy to replicate. Give it a try!

Supplies Needed for Card

Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers

Ink: Soft Suede, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper:  Thick Whisper White for Sunflowers, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Crushed Curry 

Blends: Combos of Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Bronze, and the Color Lifter.

Embellishments: Non SU gold adhesive backed sequins

Accessories: Sunflower Dies, Big Shot or die cutting machine of your choice,  Watercolor Pencils both sets, Blender Pen, bone folder, paper trimmer, paper snips, mini-dimensionals, Seal adhesive, and glue dots.

Assembly Steps:

1. Cut Crushed Curry cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4". Cut strip piece 1/2" x 4".

2. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4" x 5-1/4"  and adhere to Crushed Curry cardbase.

3. Cut Soft Suede cardstock 3-3/4" x 5" and stamp large Sunflower stamp randomly all over in Soft Suede ink.

4. Stamp greeting on Crushed Curry strip and adhere to Soft Suede layer approximately 1-1/4" from bottom edge of card.

7. With a piece of Thick Whisper White stamp the sunflower and two leaves to color. With the Stampin' Blends start in the sunflower center and work your way to the petal edges, starting with darker colors first, going to lighter shades. Be sure to color over the previous edges to help them "blend in". The leaves were colored with the Watercolor pencils and blended with the Blender pen.

8. Using the Sunflower Dies, die cut out the sunflower and leaves with the Big Shot.

9. Using Glue Dots, stick the leaves to the back of the large sunflower where you want them. Secure them with scotch tape. Add Dimensionals all around the back of the flower and the leaves and adhere to card front so it slightly overlaps the greeting.

11. Finish with adding the gold sequins.
