Coming this week to my blog is a collection of cards that will be offered this month at my In Home Classes (Covid style) to small groups of 5 stampers. First up is a Thanksgiving card featuring the Country Home Stamp set, Forever Fern Stamp Set and Forever Flourishing Dies. It is definitely a card for an avid stamper with some fussy cutting, but the result is beautiful and worth the effort.
This design was inspired by Tina Wardell.
The color scheme combines the Basic Gray card base with the Smokey Slate brick look from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper,. Followed by a Blends colored milk can filled with leaves from Forever Fern done in Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Bumblebee inks. Then finished with Soft Suede ink on Bumblebee fussy cut for the greeting.
Hint - When assembling the leaves on the back of the milk can, use scotch tape or glue dots to place. Use mini dimensionals to place on Whisper White layer. I even used more mini dimensionals to give the leaves more depth.
Here in the close up photo, you can see the final embellishments of the 1/4" Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon bow, covering the Linen Thread holding the Acorn Trinket accent. (Hint - I scotch taped the linen thread to the back of the milk can before attaching it on the card front with mini dimensionals.
Cutting Dimensions:
Card base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
In Good Taste DSP - 4" x 5-1/4"
Bumblebee Layer - 2-5/8" x 4-1/8"
Whisper White - 2-1/2" x 4"
Additional scraps of Whisper White for milkcan, leaves.
Scrap of Bumblebee for greeting
