Living in the Pacific Northwest, we have amazing bodies of water in the Puget Sound, but it's not the Pacific Ocean which is what I'm familiar with growing up in Southern California. But I decided I couldn't resist this amazing combination of the Friends are like Seashells stamp set, the Seaside Shells Die, and the Seashell's 3D Embossing Folder after all.
The card result is just so stunning when embossed on foil paper. I used the Oh So Ombre 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper from the first Sale-a-bration promotion at the start of this year to give that lovely Bermuda Bay aquatic feel on the Basic White card base. The Love You Always Foil Sheets, especially the Sahara Sand color just went so well in this design. (Two step process: Emboss foil first, then use the die cut. It is easy to align the shells in the die due to already being embossed.) Use Mini Dimensionals raise up the embossed die cut.
This simple but stunning card is finished off with a 5/8" strip of Basic White with greeting stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.
I was inspired by a variety of demonstrators who hopped on the bandwagon with these products much earlier than I did.
I plan to experiment with other colors of foil I have in my collection so see what unique combinations I can come up with. I hope you have fun with this idea too!
