Put on your sunglasses! Over the weekend I had so much fun making six different cards from the Sharing Sunshine stamp set. I hadn't done that in a very long time. It's gonna be hard deciding who to send these beauties to! But send I must!
This stamp set is perfect for summertime! Where I live it has been unseasonably warm with very little rain. I am very grateful for the Air conditioning we got installed last year, that's for sure!
Four of the cards I'll be sharing this week and the other two will be revealed later in the month. This design is my original.
What I think is so creative about this stamp set is the possibilities you can create with the "rays" of the sun. You get so much value with this set. Today's card is a fun one, because as you can see on the cover of the stamp set, the rays I used today were only half a circle, so getting the two halves lined up was a little tricky, but turned out fine.
After making the six cards I also have a hint to share - stamp the face on a separate scrap of basic white, so you can be sure to align it well inside the "rays." I used a retired 1-1/4" circle punch, but a similar sized circle die would would fine for cutting out the face, or if you must fussy cutting is always a last resort.
Technique Used - Stamping directly on the Designer Series Paper -You have to make sure your stamp is WELL inked and you hold it in place for a few seconds to let the ink absorb into the paper. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!
