I had a fun day recently making a big mess on my stamping desk while I created 18 cards from the 10 card October Peaceful Christmas Paper Pumpkin kit.
Does your desk ever look like this? I have to clean up after a stamping day, just to begin again on another project.
Below are 15 of the 18 cards (because 3 were duplicates) to share with you!
I tried for the first time on the lower left card above tinting the Black and White Gingham Ribbon with Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Alcohol Marker. It dried quickly and helped make some color pop on that card.
Above I had to try rotating the Noel card both vertically and horizontally. I used the retired Buffalo Check background stamp on the upper left card. I don't recommend that because it turns out the ink wouldn't absorb into the kit card base. I had to use my Heat Tool, wipe off excess with a kleenex and still let it just sit for a while until I could only see dull ink, instead of wet shiny ink.
On the top right card above I used my retired small star punch and punched out stars from the silver paper that the "Noel" came out of. I thought those stars helped the trees "pop".
This card above has a 1-1/2" score line on the front, so the Basic Black cardstock can be folded back on itself. By doing that you can split a "forest" card front in two pieces and use one piece on the left front and the other on the inner card. What you can't see is a piece of Basic White for your message inside as well. After tying the Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the folded flap, I secured the flap with mini-dimensionals.
Besides the supplies in the kit, I also used Basic Black, Real Red, and Basic White cardstock for card bases and punched circles, recently retired Sale-a-Bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper, current Black and White Gingham Ribbon, retired Metallic Mesh Ribbon from last year's Fall Mini Catalog, retired Buffalo Print Background stamp, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, retired 2-1/4" and 2-1/2" Circle punches, plus assorted scraps and pieces from other leftover Paper Pumpkin kits. Oh yeah, Basic White envelopes too.
I hope these designs have inspired you! Whether you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin or not, you can definitely case some of these card designs with supplies you may already have in your stash!
