Easy Triple Fun Fold Using Stampin' Up!s Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. Just Exquisite and Great for Any Occasion! Check This Out!

One of my dear Demonstrator Friends includes me in her monthly Zoom events. I try to make it most months, but lately I've been double booked. I still try to send her a photo of what I create to share the creativity she inspired in me. I'm hoping you will be inspired with this incredibly easy Triple Fun Fold with a Belly Band.

Closed View with Belly Band On.

Inside View with Belly Band Off.

I encourage you to experiment with a variety of Designer Series Papers (DSP) you might have in your stash and see what results. I just love how this card turned out. I'm going to save it for a special friend's Birthday.

Here's the Cutting Dimensions:
Coordinate your cardstock color with whatever DSP you choose. I chose Merry Merlot to coordinate with the Awash in Beauty DSP. I fussy cut out the large floral image to go on the top of the belly band Basic White 2-1/2" square and embellished with some Pearl Jewels.

Card Base - 5-1/2" x 11", scored on the long side at 1-1/4", 5-1/2", and 9-1/4".
Matching Cardstock pieces needed:
    Belly Band 1-1/4" x 10"
Large Square 3-1/2" that Belly Band will be attached to
Medium Square 2-3/4" that Basic White square will attach to

Designer Series Paper pieces needed:
    Belly Band 1" x 10"
Cut one piece of DSP 5-1/4" x 7-1/2" then slice it into four pieces. One piece 1-1/2" x 5-1/4", another piece 4" x 5-1/4" and two pieces both 1" x 5-1/4"

Basic White cardstock needed:
    Inner layer - 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"
    Top Square 2-1/2"

Use my photos as reference to lay out the cut pieces before you adhere any down.

Helpful hint - do not wrap the belly band so tight around the closed card that it will not slide easily. You need to be able to slide it up and down and reinsert the card into the belly band.

I only used Dimensionals to raise up the floral fussy cut image. Everything else is adhered with Stampin' Seal adhesive.

Good luck and have fun!

Use Stampin' Up!s Cottage Wreath Bundle to Create One or Two Fabulous Birthday Cards for a Dear Friend or Family Member This Fall

Back on October 1st, when Stampin' Up! was hosting their very first free Virtual Event for World Card Making Day, they were demonstrating a fun birthday card idea using the Cottage Wreath Bundle from the July-December Mini Catalog.

On today's post you have two choices for the Birthday Card. Make one or both. My design is up first then followed by Stampin' Up!s information for their card design. The two cards are similar but different enough I wanted to share both with you!

Supplies Needed and Cutting Directions:
Cottage Wreaths Bundle
Crumb Cake Card base cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
Two strips of Flirty Flamingo cardstock cut 3/4" x 5-1/2"
Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut  2-3/4" x 5-1/2"
2 pieces Basic White for Wreath 3" square
Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad
Set of Old Olive Stampin' Blends pens
2-1/2" Layering Circle Die
Flirty Flamingo for tag1/4" x 2-1/2"
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Flirty Flamingo for bow 1-1/2" square
Basic White cardstock for inner layer 4" x 5-1/4"
Abigail Rose DSP coordinating piece for envelop flap cut 2-3/8" x 6"

The technique I used for the Die Cut Wreath was to scribble side to side (full width fo paper) with both Light and Dark Old Olive Blends on one piece of the Basic White. You want to have little spaces of the white cardstock showing through. Die Cut the wreath and place it upon the stamped wreath with glue dots.

The rest of the card is pretty self explanatory, follow the photo to create this option. Or proceed below to see Stampin' Up!s version.

Color to Your Heart's Content With This Stampin' Up! Cottage Rose Bundle Featuring The Abigail Rose Birthday Card From World Card Making Day

Back on October 1st, it was World Cardmaking Day. Stampin' Up! offered a free virtual event that anyone could participate in. I love their virtual events so I joined in the fun.

Today's post is about the first card we made that day with the Cottage Rose Bundle creating this darling Birthday Card for a friend or family member.

I offered this card design at my Stamp and Chat classes recently. It was the most popular design of the six offered. Many of my stampin friends made multiples of this design. I like to offer my class participants a choice in what they want to make. So I offer 6 card choices with a 4 card minimum. Many of my ladies select doubles of some designs and none of other designs. That's fine with me as I want them to be happy so the cards they make will meet their needs.

Below are the directions provided by Stampin' Up! that I'm sharing with you. Above is my card sample. I find it interesting that they are still different even following the same directions. Life is like that!

Give This Fun Fold a Try with the Cut & Tuck Method While Using Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Dies for a Friend's Birthday Card

Every now and then, something new in the card making world surprises me, and this card layout was it!

My team member Anne shared this interesting "Fun Fold" with me that she received at a shoebox swap that she participated in. I have never seen this method in my almost 12 years as a Demonstrator.

This Cut and Tuck Method is very interesting, but not hard to make at all. I used mostly retired products but the two current stamp sets I used were Go To Greetings and Celebrate Sunflowers. You can use whatever you have on hand. You should definitely give this Cut & Tuck card a try.

The cardbase is 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
The front and inside piece of Designer Series Paper measures 2-1/8" x 4-1/4".
The Basic White inner liner measures 3-1/8" x 4"

In the diagram below you have the card base open facing you as you would be looking at the inside of the card.

The secret to this method is to measure in 2-1/8" in both directions from the top card edge and the middle of the side edge. With a pencil and ruler, draw the line you will cut with your paper snips. I found you will need to widen the cut just a smidge to allow for the thickness of the cardstock to slide into the angled cut easily and lie flat.

How you close the card is to lift the back angle of the card and bring it over the front angled tip and slide it down into place. It "locks" into place if done correctly.

Click on any image below and you can purchase the item at my online store.

I love experimenting with Basic Black, Basic White and Real Red color combinations.
This card below I actually made first, but realized that the two pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) need to be the same width so the angled cut ends at the same spot on both the front and back of the card base. You can't see my mistake because the Sunflower image covers it up.

Click on any image below and you can purchase the item at my online store.

Wasn't that a fun card to try? I'd love to read your comments below. Have you ever seen this fun fold?

Be Spellbound With the Best Witches Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! Plus Use the Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to Create This Darling Halloween Card For a Friend

Halloween is coming soon and you don't want to be without ideas to make some Halloween cards for your friends and neighbors. This Best Witches stamp set is what you need to solve this problem. These darling witches are so fun to color with Stampin' Blends or Colored Pencils. They are easy to fussy cut out too.

Have you tried the Front Flap Fun Fold? It is easy to do with just a few pieces of cardstock.

How to Construct the Card:
To make the fun fold, you'll need a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the flat base.
Then a 3" x 8-1/2" piece, scored at 4-1/4". That piece is adhered and centered on top of the flat base.

Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Basic White inner layer are both 2-3/4" x 4". On the Gingham front layer, add a piece of Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape trimming the edges flush with the end of the DSP.
Two Side panel pieces from the Metallic & Shimmer Glimmer paper are 1" x 4".

Basic White for tag 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" stamped in Gorgeous Grape, and die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies. It is adhered flat with portion hanging over the front flap edge.

Basic White for Witch 2-3/4" x 3" stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Colored with Stampin' Blends in Light Basic Black, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Bronze, Dark Highland Heather, Light Petal Pink, Light Smoky Slate. The Witch belt is made from Rhinestone Jewels colored with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends and set side by side to create the best. Witch is raised up on Dimensionals.

Greeting and stars for inner layer stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

Finish up with a 2-3/8" x 6" piece of the Cottage Gingham DSP for the envelope flap. Adhere and trim.

Make this Cute, Bright Halloween Card Using Stampin' Up!s Bewitching Bundle and Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper! Very Easy!

I like Halloween, but just not all the horror, scary stuff. I happen to be a screamer when I get startled, so that is why I avoid those types of movies and shows.

If you feel the same way I do, then making this darling "Best Witches" Halloween card is a fun alternative for Halloween celebrations

The Bewitching Bundle is available in Stampin' Up!s July-Dec. Mini Catalog will solve your "what should I make?" problem quite nicely. Look at those three hats! They are so cute! The coordinating Witch Hat Builder Punch helps you punch out the hats easily.

In coordination with the Bewitching Bundle, I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the card base. The plaid patterned paper is called Cottage Gingham. The Pumpkin Pie/Basic Black sheet I selected worked nicely for cutting two sections for the card front and just flipping one piece over to get the two plaids.

The Bewitching Layer is built on Basic Black cardstock. The pair of witch feet are stamped directly on the Basic White layer in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend colored the shoe buckles. Do not affix the layers together yet.

The Polka Dot Witch Hat was stamped on Basic White cardstock in Gorgeous Grape ink then punched out. The Witch Hat band was two pieces of the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape from the Glitter Washi Four Pack put on a scrap of Basic White, then punched out the band with the Hat punch, and attached with liquid glue. The finished hat was raised on Dimensionals and set on top of the feet.

On a narrow scrap stripe of Basic White cardstock, stamp the "Best Witches" in Pumpkin Pie ink. With liquid glue affix the tag at an angle and trim off the excess hanging over. Now you can adhere the layers together and affix to the card front.

Add a layer of Basic White Cardstock to the inside of the card. Decorate the Basic White envelope flap with matching Cottage Gingham Designer Series Paper. All done!

Click on any image below and you can purchase the item at my online store.

I hope this card idea has inspired you with some possibilities for the Bewitching Bundle! Have fun!

You Can Make This Boo-tiful Halloween Decoration Inexpensively to Jazz Up Your October Decoration and Celebrations. Enjoy All Month Long!

Do you need a new Halloween Home Decor Idea? Here's an easy idea for you to try!

For only $1.25 at Dollar Tree you can purchase this "Boo" hanger and jazz it up by adding your own Halloween patterned paper, stamped images, glitter paper, and embellishments just like I did.

The result? A "Boo-tiful" Halloween door hanger for your home, apartment, assisted living, dorm room, etc. It's an inexpensive creative project that doesn't take very long to make with what you have on hand! Give it a try! It would also make a great neighbor gift too!

Here's what I used rom my crafting stash:

My patterned paper was retired Designer Series Papers I had on hand.

Stamps came from the Spooky Treats Paper Pumpkin Kit, and the Bewitching Bundle.

Inks were Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Colored witch legs with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends pen.

Used two retired punches - 1-1/4" square punch and Essential Tag punch.

In addition I used black glimmer paper, metallic mesh ribbon, black glitter ribbon, gray satin ribbon, assorted embellishments I had, and very retired spider web doilies (which I scotch taped pieces to the back of the BOO.

Paper was applied to BOO with "Glitter Glue" available from Amazon.

Try Your Hand at Making This Super Fun Double Gate Fold Card Design with Stampin' Up!s Sweetest Christmas Suite for an Easy Holiday Card to Send

 WHO WE ARE:

Welcome to the first blog hop of many (we hope) by the Sweethearts Global Collective. We are a group of women who are members of an exclusive Direct Sales Coaching Group, called The Elite Suite led by Brenda Ster. We are all working to improve our direct sales business' online through providing value that you can use. We hope you'll find what we share valuable. This month's theme is "Anything Goes!"

For this first time, eleven fabulous Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the globe have collaborated to bring you some wonderful ideas to enrich your papercrafting experience. We hope as you "hop" through each blog you will leave some comments about the project they are sharing with you. We'd all appreciate that very much.

LET'S GET STARTED:

Do you like to challenge yourself with difficult looking cards to only find out they are very easy to make? That is how you'll feel when you are done trying this Double Gate Fun Fold. It goes together quickly for an outstanding result!

I was inspired by a Lavonne Schwendeman design. But as most cardmakers do, I changed the front panel to show off more of the background Designer Series Paper. Then I balanced the space around the candy canes on the front panel. The card still stands up easily. I realized I tend to like projects that are symmetrical. This one is!

Matching fun fold card and envelope always makes a special gift to receive.

Here's a sneak peek to the inside message panel. At first I thought it was going to be awkward to write your message inside because nothing was laying flat.

But look what I discovered! You can open it wide to write on the inside! It only took me a while to realize it. That was an aha moment!

Just fold the side flaps all the way to the back side and you'll be able to easily write your message inside.

Close up of the main front panel.

Top View to see the Double Gate Fun Fold.

LET'S GET GOING!

Project Directions:

There are 3 sections to this card: Back Panel base, Double Gate Folded middle panel, and Front Panel holding the candy canes.

Cutting Directions:

Back Panel base
Cut Real Red Cardstock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

Double Gate Folded Middle Panel
Cut Real Red Cardstock 5-1/2" x 7-1/4"
Score this piece on the long side at 1-3/8", 2-1/2", 4-3/4" and 5-7/8"
Then starting on the left side do a Mountain fold, Valley fold, Valley fold, and Mountain fold.

Cut 4 pieces of the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper (small red and green candy cane design) 1-1/8"" x 4".  Two pieces will go on the Back Panel, and two pieces on the middle double gate fold outer panels.

Basic White cardstock for inner layer 2" x 5-1/4"

Front Panel holding the candy canes
Cut Real Red Cardstock 3-1/4" x 4-1/4"
Cut Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper (green diamond pattern) 3" x 4"
Die Cut with the Candy Cane Dies two red and white candy canes (one pointing each direction)
Real Red Glimmer Paper 1-1/2" x 3"
Basic White Cardstock for tag 1-1/2" x 2-1/2"

If desired - Decorate your envelope flap with a piece of 2-3/8" x 6" coordinating paper from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Assembly Directions:

1. Adhere two pieces of the candy cane paper to the left and right sides of the Back Panel leaving a 1/8" border on the outside and top/bottom edges.

2. Using your Grid Paper center the Back Panel on the paper. Adhere the Middle Panel so there 1" sections on each side of the back panel.

3. Adhere the last two pieces of the candy cane paper to the left and right panels of the Middle Panel sections.

4. With Garden Green ink and the little leaf stamp from the set, stamp two leaves as shown in the photo on the Basic White inner layer before adhering it to the middle section of the Middle Panel.

5. With the Front Panel piece of Real Red cardstock, adhere the piece of the green diamond patterned paper.

6. Before adhering the two die cut candy canes to the front panel, set them in place to see how they look. Once you are happy with the look, put a small amount of adhesive where they cross, so you will now handle them as one unit. Place Mini Dimensionals generously on the back, then affix to the green patterned paper.

7. Using the Double Oval Punch, punch out the scalloped oval in the Real Red Glimmer paper.
On the piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the "Christmas Cheer" in Garden Green ink, then punch out the plain oval. Affix them together.

8. Affix the Oval Greeting flat to the Candy Canes in the middle with Stampin' Seal and one mini dimensional on each outer portion.

9. Embellish each corner of the front panel with a Red Rhinestone.

10. Attach your coordinating envelope flap paper and trim off excess with your paper snips.
