There are only a couple weeks left in Stampin' Up!s annual promotion called Sale-a-Bration. (Ends on Feb. 28,2023) The Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) is one of the choices when you place a $50 USD order before shipping and tax. A package of 12" x 12" retails for $12, so that is a wonderful bonus you can choose when you order with me.
Like yesterday's blog post, today's card design combines the Basic Border Dies with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) and look at the fantasic results you can achieve!
In these card designs today there are several things going on to bring to your attention:
1. You can make two quick cards when you cut your DSP 4" x 5", stack the two sheets with two different patterns facing up together and place "pocket flap die" in the Basic Border Dies on top and run through your die cutting machine. Switch the pieces on your Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia card bases, but this time spread the two sections apart a little bit so the card base shows through.
2. Flip one card vertical with the pocket flap up and the other card vertical with the pocket flap down. Such a small change can make a big difference in how a card looks.
3. When fussy cutting out the large gorgeous flowers from another sheet in the Favored Flowers DSP, I cut the flowers with a small border of the black background showing. Makes for a real nice "pop" effect when the flowers are raised up on the card front.
4. Be sure to cut an extra of the smaller flower with the black edge and adhere it to the inside of your card for a nice surprise of color!
